What is considered as porn? Is it legal? Is it immoral? As the taboo and sexual topic of conversations around the world, porn has created a dilemma for many people – is porn “good” or “bad”?

There are some who claim that what is considered as porn is no more than harmless fun. Some would even say that what is considered as porn is harmless even if it involves sexual stimulation of the opposite gender – but most would condemn any form of addiction whether physical or psychological. Porn addiction is a sexual pathology that can turn a normal, responsible adult into a deviant and self-destructive sex addict. This type of porn addiction is called “pornography addiction” and it should be addressed accordingly.

There are some who argue that what is considered as porn is nothing more than sexual aggression. They say that it is not uncommon to see men wearing tight jeans and exposing most parts of their bodies especially their breasts in a sexually suggestive video or shot. They further assert that this is not considered pornography because such exposure does not involve sexual aggression. What is considered as porn, they claim, is a sexual aggression against women and girls. Such aggressive sexual behavior is not condoned by any means and should be avoided at all costs.

On another hand, what is considered as porn use can cause addiction. This is especially true with the effects of the chemical dopamine. As the amount of dopamine in the brain increases, it can often lead to intense and long term feelings of euphoria which can cause one to use pornography excessively in an attempt to reach similar levels of euphoria.

While there are a lot of people who claim that what is considered as porn can never be considered as addiction, there are also a lot of people who support the use of porn and claim that it is not harmful at all. What is considered as porn is actually a form of expression and every time a person view it, he or she is having a catharsis. The porn companies themselves do not think that what is seen is actually porn. They just want to earn money by selling it. However, what is seen is what is considered as porn.

What is considered as porn is definitely not harmless. It can cause physiological and psychological problems like erectile dysfunctions, loss of libido, and increased interest in fetishes that normally would be considered non-pornographic. What is also true about what is considered as porn use is that the user can develop an addiction to porn. This is because what is seen can often lead to what is considered as porn use in the future.

For people who believe that what is seen is not always what is felt, what is often seen these days is what is often re-enacted. For example, it has been noticed that when young boys watch peep shows, they tend to want to emulate what they see on the screen. In this case, the use of porn is not completely responsible for the development of an addiction to peep shows. What is wrong in this case is that what is seen can trigger a release of dopamine in the brain which can result in what is often viewed as an addictive behavior pattern. What is important to know is that viewing porn does not necessarily lead to what is considered as an addiction but more to an obsessive behavior pattern.
