What is Considered Porn?

For some time in the not-so-distant past, what was considered pornography was not only limited to the adult entertainment industry but also included much more mainstream materials. In fact, pornography itself has become so commonplace that what used to be considered adult material by a majority of the population is now considered normal by almost anyone. Graphic sex scenes in R rated films and on popular television shows like Game of Thrones, for instance, are generally not considered pornography by any definition, yet most professing Christians have absolutely no qualms watching them. And why is this? The fact remains that a large number of Christians view pornography as the norm, viewing it daily and feeling no discomfort or remorse about it.

Because the vast majority of Christians do view porn, it begs the question: what is considered porn for Christians? While there is no clear-cut answer to this question, it is safe to say that for most Christians, viewing porn is not considered inappropriate or unimportant. In fact, most Christian men consider masturbation to be a sin against God and an act of shame in comparison to what is considered porn for Christians.

What is considered porn for Christians? When most men masturbate, they rarely think about what is considered porn for Christians. Instead, what is on their mind is either flirting with a woman or thinking about what they can get out of the latest laptop computer. While these things may occasionally cause excitement, it is not usually considered porn by Christians and certainly not one worth studying in Bible study courses. Most successful rebooters understand that porn use is not always healthy and can even lead to increased levels of self-deception when looking to trust in God.

What is considered porn for Christians is actually much more complicated than what is on the surface. For instance, while most people do not view masturbation as something that is spiritually wrong, the fact is that masturbation is often used to overcome the feelings of guilt a person has over being sexually active. Being sexually active can lead to feelings of guilt and shame and the use of pornography is meant to numb these feelings. While it is important to note that using pornography does not change a man’s sexual orientation, becoming conditioned to it does. If one habit is strong enough, a man may not even feel the need to seek God for help when it comes to sexually pleasing women. This is why it is critical for Christians to seek help in overcoming this problem and finding a porn addiction treatment that works.

Because Christian men are not seeking to have real people enjoy sex with them, they are very unlikely to seek help. This means that any solutions they try to use will not be effective and they will usually fall back into old habits. It is important for Christian men to understand that there is no real way to fix their brains. They will need to reboot or they will never fully grasp the concept of God’s love and purpose for their lives. By learning how to masturbate with the use of porn, they can learn to bypass this step and move on to actually having sex with real people.

Another reason why it is hard for Christians to quit porn is because many feel that once they quit, their lives will be void of any sexual desires until they learn more about God again. This is why so many people who use porn find it hard to fully recover from their habit. There are ways to completely rid a person of masturbation addiction, but the real question is what happens after the reboot? Does a person still have an unbridled sexual desire? This is why it is important to realize that porn users become sexually conditioned users rather than completely cured.

Many believe that this type of brain damage is permanent, but there are ways of recovering from it. It is imperative to fully research the brain functions and how the brain changes over time, particularly with the constant bombardment of fast-paced video and images on the internet. If a porn user goes back to their normal lifestyle, they will most likely have the same mental health problems that always existed. In other words, the brain cannot adapt to constant stimulation, so it must be rewired.

The last major reason why porn addicts will struggle with abstinence is because they have given into their Lust. They are addicted to the sense of lust that they feel when they view sexually provocative images and videos. This is because the tenth Commandment forbids immorality; however, Christians fail to see that immorality is the cause of much of the evil in the world. Christians must not allow the lures of lust to get the better of their faith because they are a dead meat for the vampire that lives within them.
